Soft Modelling

The Project

Using a series of engineering drawings and stock materials, the project involved working with machinery and hand tools to mould and finish the materials as necessary in order to produce a torch model.

Skills Used and Gained

  • Vacuum forming;

  • Woodwork/ foam modelling;

    • Simple hand tools;

    • Belt and disc sander;

    • Band saw;

  • Laser cutting;

  • Finishing techniques;

    • Spray painting;

    • Sanding and polishing.
